Shin Megami Tensei V

Developer: Atlus
Publisher: Atlus
Platforms: NS
Release: TBA

The Shin Megami Tensei series will see its fifth installment soon on the Nintendo Switch. There are not too many details released for the game so far and it may not even launch within the 2019 release cycle. However, the franchise has a strong following and developers Atlus are hard at work in delivering a game that will be appealing to play on the home console setup along with the portability of the Nintendo Switch.
While Atlus are currently in development for the game, Kazuyuki Yamai, the producer behind Shin Megami Tensei V has previously stated that there will be more attention to developing demons this time around. We’re hoping that the game will make an appearance in the near future.

Bayonetta 3

Developer: Platinum Games
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: TBA

The Bayonetta series will receive a third installment. Development studio Platinum Games has previously spoken of an interest in going back to the series depending on if the sequel, Bayonetta 2, was deemed a success.
Bayonetta 3 has since been announced, though there have been no details as to what gamers can expect from the title. Instead, we will likely see the Umbra Witch, Bayonetta, come back fighting more massive demons and angels. Likewise, there have been statements from the developers suggesting that gamers can expect an even tighter action title when Bayonetta 3 finally hits store shelves.

Metroid Prime 4

Developer: TBA
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: TBA

The Metroid Prime series was fantastic when it launched on the GameCube and later the Nintendo Wii. This was a first-person Metroid video game where players gunned down alien creatures while maneuvering through planets, though it’s been several years since we’ve seen a new installment to the Prime series.
Thankfully, E3 2017 didn’t disappoint as the Nintendo Direct unveiled the title screen of Metroid Prime 4. Unfortunately, that’s all we got but with this year’s E3 expo coming soon, we’re hoping Nintendo unleashes the goods by delivering us not only what we can expect with this fourth installment to the Prime series but if we’ll be able to get our hands on a copy this coming year.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Developer: Intelligent Systems
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

During Nintendo’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct video upload we received the announcement of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Unfortunately, Nintendo didn’t got into any details regarding the game outside of a small trailer which showcases a brutal war. Players will follow Byleth, Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude in a new tactical RPG journey but for now, we’ll have to wait until more details are announced for the game.

Daemon X Machina

Developer: Marvelous
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

A brand new mech game was unveiled for the Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Direct of E3 2018 called Daemon X Machina. The trailer showcased a cel-shaded style title in which players will be able to customize their mechs before jumping into intense battles.
This was another title that only received a small trailer during Nintendo’s E3 Direct video uploaded so we’re left with a few questions regarding what to expect when the title eventually hits store shelves in 2019. However, the bright colorful visuals is definitely something to take note of.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

Developer: Grasshopper Manufacture
Publisher: Marvelous
Platforms: Switch
Release: January 18, 2019

Taking part of the No More Heroes franchise, Grasshopper Manufacture is releasing Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes exclusively on the Nintendo Switch in 2019. With that said, you can expect an over-the-top hack-and-slash experience.
Players will find that Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will take place seven years after the events of No More Heroes 2 where Badman seeks to take down Travis for murdering his daughter, Bad Girl. During the scuffle, the duo finds themselves trapped in a canceled video game console crated by Dr. Juvenile called the Death Drive MK-II.
Stuck in the console, players will have to race through six different video games on the console collecting a Death Ball in order to grant a wish.

Luigi’s Mansion 3

Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

The Luigi’s Mansion series doesn’t have very many installments attached. Outside of its main debut on the Nintendo GameCube, the series only has one other console installment for the Nintendo 3DS called Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. With the franchise, players are put into the role of Luigi who must bust a variety of ghosts and while we knew that the original installment was soon finding a release again in the market for the Nintendo 3DS, it came as a surprise that a third installment was in the works.
During a September 2018 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that Luigi’s Mansion 3 is being developed for the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any details as to what this third installment will entail quite yet, but it’s supposedly coming into the market in 2019.
We’re likely going to see some type of Joy-Con motion controller gameplay featured within the game but again, at this point, we’re simply speculating as to what we can expect from the upcoming installment.

New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe

Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

During the September Nintendo Direct, the video game industry giant unveiled that New Super Mario Bros. would see a new release on the Nintendo Switch. The original New Super Mario Bros video game titles were a hit when they released on the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo Wii. Since the Nintendo Switch is bringing in plenty of new adopters regularly, Nintendo is dusting off their catalog of video game titles available and giving it a new coat of paint along with some additional features.
New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is bringing back the Wii title release for the Nintendo Switch while also adding in two new characters. The new characters are Nabbit who will not take any damage against enemies and Toadette who can transform into Peachette with special abilities such as a double jump or slowly falls.

Town (Working Title)

Developer: Game Freak
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

Development studio Game Freak may be best known for their work on the Pokemon franchise but over the years the development studio has delivered other RPG focused games into the market. During the September Nintendo Direct, we got the unveiling of their next big IP release in the development, Town. This is only a working title at the moment and very few details have been released.
What we do know so far is that this game will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive in which players are put into an old village that previously lived harmoniously. That suddenly changed when the village started to spawn monsters for players to defeat. As players go through this turn-based combat RPG title they’ll learn of the reason behind the sudden appearance of monsters in the town.

Yoshi’s Crafted World

Developer: Good-Feel
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

Yoshi’s Crafted World was teased for a short while now and it appears that we’re going to see this game release into the market for the Nintendo Switch within the Spring season of 2019. For those unfamiliar with the game, this is a brand new Yoshi title that still contains the side-scrolling platforming gameplay that the franchise is known for. Similar to the Paper Mario series, Yoshi’s Crafted World will see our favorite dinosaur fighting off Shy Guys and other hostilities in a construction paper style world.
Within this game, players will still have to swallow enemies and turn them to eggs in order to destroy them but there’s one slight unique twist into this installment. This game will have players go through levels twice where Yoshi can flip the level world around revealing a whole different side full of other puzzles and collectibles that were previously unavailable or only capable of being solved by viewing the level from a particular viewpoint.

Animal Crossing 2019

Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

During the September 2018 Nintendo Direct the video game industry giant unveiled a few 3DS and Nintendo Switch video games that were in the works for 2019. However, like other Nintendo Directs, the company unveiled one final game in a short tease leaving us wondering as to what we can expect for another presentation at a later date.
The final tease during the Nintendo Direct was the unveiling of a new Animal Crossing video game which will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Unfortunately, as mentioned, Nintendo didn’t unveil any new information other than that the development studio is actively working on a brand new Animal Crossing installment for the Nintendo Switch.

Shin Megami Tensei V

Developer: Atlus
Publisher: Atlus
Platforms: NS
Release: TBA

Shin Megami Tensei V is currently in development by Atlus and gamers can expect a release on the Nintendo Switch. There are very few details right now in regards to the game though we can still expect the title to take place in present-day Tokyo.

Unfortunately, the finer details such as the narrative and what new elements are set to be present in the game remain to be seen.

Unsung Story: Tales of the Guardians

Developer: Little Orbit
Publisher: Little Orbit
Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO, NS
Release: 2019

Unsung Story: Tales of the Guardians was announced via a Kickstarter in 2014, the video game was first revealed to be under development by a studio named Playdek who would be following the creative direction of Yasumi Matsuno. For those unfamiliar with the name, Yasumi was the director behind Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story.
Since the announcement, development studio Little Orbit has taken the reigns of the project with hopes to release the title in 2019. Much like Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story, Unsung Story: Tales of the Guardians is a tactical role-playing video game that shares the tale of a war-torn history set within a fantasy world known as Rasfalia. Players will be following stories of different heroes that fought in the long war each of which will be featured in their own episode full of gameplay stages.

Bayonetta 3

Developer: Platinum Games
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: TBA

Bayonetta will be receiving a third installment thanks to the success of Bayonetta 2. The video game will likely see the return of the Umbra Witch Bayonetta as she guns down various angels and demons that cross paths.
Platinum Games is currently developing the title though we’re still waiting for details on the narrative and what, if any, new changes will be coming our way. However, the action-packed series featuring a tough heroine will likely only get crazier with new insane Bullet Arts moves.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Developer: Square Enix
Publisher: Square Enix
Platforms: 3DS, PS4, PC, NS
Release: September 2018 (PS4, PC) TBA (NS)

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age has already released on the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4 within the Japanese markets. However, a port of the game is expected to launch within September for PC and PlayStation 4 along with a release for the Nintendo Switch at a later date. This video game marks as the eleventh main installment to the franchise where players will take on the role of a young protagonist.
During the traditional coming of age ceremony, the world of Lotozetasia learns that you’re actually the reincarnation of an ancient hero. Now with the newly found discovery of your origins, the journey of ridding monsters and saving the world becomes your destiny.
Combat is the traditional turn-based which the franchise is known for and while the development team had initially intended on making the game open world, they decided it would be best played as a linear title with a narrative focus.
As mentioned the game has since been released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS within Japan though we’re at least receiving the game localized for the PC and PlayStation 4 this September. Currently, there is no indication as to just when the Nintendo Switch version of the game will be releasing.

Metroid Prime 4

Developer: TBA
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: TBA

During the Nintendo Direct video for E3 2017, Nintendo unleashed news that there would be a fourth installment to the Metroid Prime series. Outside of a small logo, there’s not been too many details released for the game.
We’re not even positive on who is developing the game as Nintendo tends to keep information pretty secretive until they are ready for an official reveal. We can expect that the game will retain the first-person perspective though we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for any new information released into the masses.
With E3 right around the corner, we’re hoping that the Nintendo Direct will unveil a few fine details such as the game’s release date.

Tunche

Developer: Leap Game Studios
Publisher: Leap Game Studios
Platforms: PC, PS4, NS
Release: 2019

Tunche is a 2D beat ‘em up video game that sports hand-drawn art developed by Leap Game Studios. The developers are working on a game that takes inspiration from the Peruvian legend known also as Tunche which is a spirit that hunts down its prey in the jungle.
Within the game, players will be able to choose one of four characters as they battle enemy hostiles throughout the jungle. Likewise, the game supports cooperative gameplay so it can make a perfect co-op experience especially due to its roguelike elements.
Players will find that they can increase their move sets as they progress throughout the game, however, a loss will result in players starting all the way over again. It doesn’t seem to sport a very long journey for players to go through so if you’re not fond of Roguelikes then you may still want to give this title a try. Currently, the developers are aiming to launch the game early 2019.

Daemon X Machina

Developer: Marvelous
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: NS
Release: 2019

A brand new mech game was unveiled for the Nintendo Switch during the Nintendo Direct of E3 2018 called Daemon X Machina. The trailer showcased a cell-shaded style title in which players will be able to customize their mechs before jumping into intense battles.
This was another title that only received a small trailer during Nintendo’s E3 Direct video uploaded so we’re left with a few questions regarding what to expect when the title eventually hits store shelves in 2019. However, the bright colorful visuals is definitely something to take note of.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Developer: ArtPlay, DICO
Publisher: 505 Games
Platforms: PC, PS4, PSV, Switch, XBO
Release: 2018

Led by former Castlevania series producer, Koji Igarashi, comes the upcoming action-adventure game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The video game is in the style of Metroidvania as you explore, craft new weapons, and of course, find new armor.
The video game will follow an orphan named Miriam who has been cursed by an alchemist which is slowly turning her skin into crystal. In order to stop the curse, she must explore a castle to find the summoner of this curse, Gebel, who as it turns out had suffered the same condition.
Luckily, the video game is coming out for a number of different platforms so you should have no trouble getting the chance to enjoy the video game once it launches hopefully sometime this year.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

Developers: Double Damage Games
Publisher: Double Damage Games
Platforms: PS4, PC, NS
Release: 2019

If you enjoyed Rebel Galaxy then you’ll want to take note of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw which is coming out in 2019. So far the details are a bit scarce but we do know that the game will take place about thirty years prior to the events of the first game where players will take on the role as Juno Markev.
Juno is a smuggler that ends up in debit with a casino in order to gain a ship so as a result we can expect the ship combat aspect to the game will still be a major component to the video game. However, it seems that the development team is looking to deliver a stronger narrative journey for players to uncover as they progress. Overall, the developers are taking all the aspects that made Rebel Galaxy work and further enhancing them in this upcoming prequel.
Rebel Galaxy unfortunately has not released on the Nintendo Switch platform so we’re also curios as to if we’ll see a port of the original title coming in the near future. However, because this game is set as a prequel, you won’t need to play the game in order to understand the narrative.

When Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 says that the new Battle Royale Blackout map has no barriers, they’re not kidding — you can run, climb, or cross through just about every inch of the map. There are no invisible barriers blocking you, and that’s quite a change from many of the maps we’re used to playing in standard CoD multiplayer. Blackout isn’t just a standard Battle Royale map — every single named area is actually based on a previous map in the storied history of the franchise.
And here, we’re going to take a look at all 14 areas. I’ll give a quick rundown of what you can expect in each zone, and what maps inspired the locations listed. Some of these maps have been changed considerably from their inspiration, while others are an almost carbon copy — we’re looking at you, Asylum.
Go on tour and sink in the local flavor of Blackout with our quick tour guide below.

#1: Construction Site

Refences: High-Rise, Die Rise (Black Ops 2)

The beautiful high-rise construction site is a popular destination in the game, and also one of the most complex. The area is wide-open and there are plentiful items to loot, even if the spacious interiors / exterior courtyards don’t give you much room to hide.
Use the exterior lifts to reach the upper floors where you might just find a helicopter parked on the helipad. The upper floors are a sniper’s paradise, and you’ll be able to (safely) spot runners from this lordly perch. There’s no higher vantage point in Blackout.

#2: Estate

References: Raid (Black Ops 2)

This pair of competing estates feature complex interiors, and plenty of courtyard cover when crossing from one estate to the other. You’ll find luxurious swimming pools, and a very familiar layout on the west side. It’s a transplant of the “Raid” map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Instead of FBI exchanging bullets with mercs, you’ll trade fire with everyone else.
The map is a mixture of medium-range courtyards (center garden, pool) and twisty interiors with plenty of doors separating each space. The ‘Raid’ section of the map is more open, while the mansion on the east side is a large self-contained home, so most of the fighting will probably happen inside. Just don’t stand too close to the many, many windows.
Check out more Blackout locations on the next page.

The Sinister Six are let loose in Manhattan, and you’ll have to take them all down in Spider-Man — the latest and greatest Spidey game that’s exclusively on PS4. It isn’t just a cavalcade of classic foes you’ll face either. Some of Spider-Man’s newest enemies make an appearance. Mr. Negative, a relatively new creation, quickly becomes Peter Parker’s greatest enemy early in the story, and even more bad guys pop out of the woodwork from there.
The amount of comic-accurate enemies is insane, so we wanted to share the climactic battles with you. Whether you’re looking for a little battle help, or just want to watch us crush every single big bad guy in the game, here’s a quick video showcasing every single boss. There are plenty of them, and some are totally optional. You’ll want to complete every side-quest and activity to unlock certain bosses.
Beware, because there are going to be SPOILERS ahead in the video. I won’t reveal anything here, but let’s just say there are some surprise reveals as the story goes on. This isn’t your standard, conventional hero narrative — Spider-Man (PS4) takes plenty of inspiration from the movies, but it feels like a world of it’s own creation. Characters like Screwball and Black Cat appear, but you won’t throw down with them. The bosses are (mostly) saved for the story — with the exception of two.
There are two optional bosses — Tombstone and Taskmaster. To fight Tombstone, you’ll need to complete side-quests related to his gang. They’ll appear periodically after Tombstone is introduced. To take on the terrible Taskmaster, you need to complete all of Taskmaster’s Challenges — these are optional activities you’ll find all around the city. You don’t need to get Gold, you just need to complete them. Get them all, and you’ll be able to fight the Taskmaster.
All the other bosses are story-related, so you won’t miss them. Watch the video above and look in the description for timecodes if you want to skip to a specific boss battle.

Top 15 Best Tycoon Games: Own the World

September 14, 2018 | Game 2 nguoi | No Comments

Note: This list was updated in September of 2018.
Business doesn’t always have to be serious. Business can be fun. Also, business usually has a tight set of rules and revolves around resource allocation. So in a way, business in the real world already is a sort of game. But if you want to play that game, it’s actually much easier to just turn on your PC and play one of the many great business tycoon simulations out there.
There is a special flavor for everyone. Historical business simulation? Done. Present day urban planning? Got it. Science fiction space station businesses? Yeah why not.
This is a very PC eccentric genre, there are few ports on consoles that are above anything but “passable”. Interestingly enough though, it seems mobile touch devices see the most innovative new entries here, leading to a small renaissance of a genre that was in a steady decline into obscurity for years now.

#15 Zoo Tycoon Series

Developer: Blue Fang Games, Frontier Developments, Behaviour Interactive
Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios
Platforms: PC, X360, XBO
Release: 2001-2017

Main Games

Zoo Tycoon
Zoo Tycoon 2
Zoo Tycoon (2013)
Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection

The Zoo Tycoon series has a number of installments available across a variety of platforms. Initially, the game came into fruition in 2001 by development studio Blue Fang Games. Players are given the lead position when it comes to a functioning zoo. This means that players are constructing the design of the zoo, what animals are on display, businesses available within the zoo location along with other entertainment for its guests.
Throughout the game players are juggling maintenance of the zoo along with turning a profit which may mean listening to guests interests at the zoo and their dislikes. Over the years, the game series has exchanged different development studios but the games continued to follow the same overall groundwork that Blue Fang Games laid with the first installment.
As it stands right now, Frontier Developments released the last main installment to the series, with Zoo Tycoon, a reboot of the original video game title. This title released in 2013 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms and while both held the same overall mechanics that fans of the series is familiar with, there was a campaign mode that offered players a variety of challenges.
With that said if you’re looking to enjoy the classic main Zoo Tycoon titles and their various expansion packs then you’ll want to look at Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection which launched in 2017 for the Xbox One and PC platforms. This collection included the first two Zoo Tycoon games along with their expansion packs while also including a few new animals and HDR 4K resolution.

#14 Jurassic World Evolution

Developer: Frontier Developments
Publisher: Frontier Developments
Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
Release: June 12, 2018

If you enjoy building up parks and attractions while managing the business side of things then you’ll want to check out Jurassic World Evolution. The video game was also developed by Frontier Developments who had worked on other beloved tycoon franchises such as RollerCoaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon.
With this release, players are put in control of building their own Jurassic Park where you’ll manage the design while managing the business when it comes to bringing guests back to the Jurassic age.
Likewise, there will be a section based around developing new creatures, similar to the story of Jurassic World. Unfortunately, if you enjoy the more in-depth city building and managing titles put out into the market then you might find this game to be a bit disappointing but on the flip side, if you find some of the more popular city builder and simulation games to be too overwhelming then we suggest giving this game a try.

#13 Tropico Series

Developer: Haemimont Games
Publisher: Feral Interactive
Platforms: PC, X360, PS4, XBO
Release: 2001 – 2016

The Tropico series first came out in 2001 and is still going strong with a brand new installment, Tropico 6, is slated to launch in 2019. This is another city building and managing tycoon video game franchises where players take the role of a ruler in control of a fictional island. Throughout the series, players will be ruling their country as they bring it to prosperity while managing resources and overseeing their civilians.
There’s more of an emphasis on how you rule your country in this game with there being a series of factions that will either be pleased by your choices or outraged such as environmentalists, militarist, intellectuals and religious groups. As mentioned, this is a long running franchise and already there is a sixth main installment in the works that will be released at some point in 2019 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and lastly the Xbox One platforms.

#12 Surviving Mars

Developer: Haemimont Games
Publisher: Paradox Interactive
Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
Release: March 15,  2018

Within Surviving Mars players will be on the cold red planet where their sole goal is to manage and oversee the colonization of the new world. Of course, there will be some challenges that will come up giving players some tough obstacles to pass through.
This is a city-builder type game as well where players will have to build up their colony and gather resources to maintain their colonization. As a result, the game will have a bit of a strategy element to the gameplay.

#11 RollerCoaster Tycoon Series

Developer: Chris Sawyer Productions, Frontier Developments, n-Space, On5, Nvizzio Creations

Platforms: PC, Xbox, iOS
Release: 1999 – 2016

Main Games

RollerCoaster Tycoon

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3
RollerCoaster Tycoon World

The RollerCoaster Tycoon series plays out much like Zoo Tycoon. Players are in control of a theme park where they must design the layout, hire employees, bring in businesses and maintain the various rides. Essentially, instead of animals like Zoo Tycoon, you’re swapping them out for amusement park rides while still maintaining the behind-the-scenes ventures that goes into managing a business and keeping operations running smoothly.
RollerCoaster Tycoon also was an IP that exchanged hands across a few different development studios where it originated by Christ Sawyer Productions back in 1999 but even with the games being tossed around different development studios, the overall goal and mechanics are intact. For instance, the latest main video game release, RollerCoaster Tycoon World launched in 2016 where again players are building up rides, shops and managing the par while tweaking the visuals for the latest PC platform components.
This franchise is not slowing down as Atari made note of other installments that is currently in the works such as RollerCoaster Tycoon for the Nintendo Switch.

Developer: Maxis, Tilted Mill Entertainment, Aspyr Media, etc
Publisher: Electronic Arts, Nintendo, Maxis, etc
Platforms: PC, PSX, PS3, DS, GBA, Wii, etc
Release: 1989 – 2014

The SimCity has been a long running video game franchise that first debuted into the market back in 1989. Several developers and publishers have had their hand on the video game franchise and it’s been available on a wide range of platforms. In a lot of ways, SimCity is one of the pioneering video game franchises to help other popular tycoon video games come out into the market.
Because this franchise has been around since the late 1980s, there are so many video game titles available to play but the latest main installment to really hit the market was SimCity, a 2013 reboot which had its own rocky launch and issues, but we won’t open that can of worms here.
Overall, SimCity allows players to create a city and build upon it while aiding any issues that the civilians bring up. Of course, one of the wrenches that is tossed at players progress is the various natural disasters and hostilities that occur which will require rebuilding up parts of your city locations.

#9 OpenTTD

Developer: OpenTTD Team
Publisher: OpenTTD Team
Platforms: PC
Release: March 14, 2004

OpenTTD is a game well worth trying out as it’s available free and open-source. The video game was developed as a remake of 1995’s Transport Tycoon Deluxe but with this remake comes new content and features. Players will find that the base game is still about transporting passengers and cargo for profit through the means of road, rail, sea or air. As mentioned, there are a few additions to this game with players receiving more map sizes, language support, AI, multiplayer, among other useful features that were previously unavailable through Transport Tycoon Deluxe.
This title has also been going strong for a number of years now due to it being open-source. Ultimately, this means that even though the game released over a decade ago, it’s still being supported and updated. For instance, the latest stable version update was released in April of 2018. However, outside of stable version releases, there is other modifications and online content that players can download for their game to include new sets of vehicles, industries, cargoes and buildings. You’ll even find downloads available to give players new scenarios and custom AIs.
Lastly, because this game also supports online multiplayer, gameplay can be competitive. This title includes games that can feature up to 255 players where they will compete as a transportation company. All-in-all, being that this game is free to download and try, we recommend giving it a go.

#8 Cities Skylines

Developer: Colossal Order
Publisher: Paradox Interactive
Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO, NS
Release: March 10, 2015

Cities: Skylines may not have been developed by EA Maxis, but it’s certainly what most of its players and fans of the simulation/tycoon genre would consider being the true successor to the SimCity series of games.
Similar to the SimCity series, Cities: Skylines is a simulation title in which players can build up and maintain a city, full of buildings and civilians. The game will put gamers in control of various zoning’s, road placements, taxation, transportation, and even public services.
Of course, the game will throw players a few problems as well. This could be as simple as focusing on desires from your civilians to natural disasters wrecking sections of the city. Much like The Sims 4, Cities: Skylines have also received a number of expansion packs.
For instance, the Mass Transit expansion pack introduced new transit systems into the game such as cable cars and blimps along with a mini-expansion called Concerts which allowed gamers to bring in new event venues for concerts and festivals.

#7 Tiny Tower

Developer: NimbleBit
Publisher: NimbleBit
Platforms: Ios, Android
Release: June 23, 2011

Tiny Tower released in 2011 and due to its success, the development studio, NimbleBit, has launched a few other spin-off games based around the same mechanics. Within Tiny Tower, players are tasked with managing a tower where they are constantly aiming to make it grow by adding new floors. Each floor offers a commercial business such as a coffee house, sushi bar or Laundromat. Throughout the day new citizens will enter your elevator where they will shop at the commercial businesses or be put to work on a specific floor.
Each citizen will have stats and it’s up to the player in order to determine just what floor business will benefit from their work. As mentioned, the game is all about making money in order to build up your tower which will also allow other businesses to be incorporated in your tower. It’s a simplistic game that can be enjoyed on either Android or Apple devices. Likewise, there have been a few spin-off titles such as Tiny Tower Vegas and Tiny Death Star but they are traditionally played the same.

#6 Prison Architect

Developer: Introversion Software
Publisher: Introversion Software, Paradox Interactive
Platforms: PC, PS4, X360, XBO, Ios, Android, NS

Prison Architect puts players in control of their own customized prison. Likewise, the game does include the ability to hire various staff members such as a warden and guards.
It’s not all about crafting and running a prison system but also managing the finances and keeping inmates in control. You may also opt to incorporate more reform programs in order to rehabilitate the prison inmates to live a productive and law abiding life outside of prison. Overall, the game has been a positive hit since its release in 2015, but we haven’t seen any indication that a sequel is in the works. Instead, there are other future projects currently in the works by Introversion Software so we’re sure that this game may be the only installment of the franchise for the time being.

Like most video game franchises that have been around for years, there tends to be a few development studios that work on the video game but as of late, Blue Byte has been the lead developer in charge.
While the last video game installment of the franchise released in 2015, there is a brand new game in the works right now under Blue Byte. Anno 1800 will retain the same city building and managing mechanics that the feature is known for but it will take place in the 19th century during the Industrial Age.

#4 Planet Coaster

Developer: Frontier Developments
Publisher: Frontier Developments
Platforms: PC
Release: November 17, 2016

After their work with the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise, Frontier Developments decided to take what they learned and enhance it with their very own tycoon IP called Planet Coaster. This is a video game aimed to be a spiritual successor to the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise where players are given a brand new theme park tycoon management video game.
There’s nothing really that drastically sets it apart from the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise, but it does prove to be just as or if not even more entertaining than the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Players will have three different game modes to enjoy on the franchise which includes sandbox, challenge and career mode.
Within the sandbox mode players are given a plot of land and unlimited funds to craft a theme park of their own design while the challenge mode gives players a series of tasks to complete in order to earn perks or money. Lastly, the career mode will once again present objectives to complete though it will also give an overall scenario to go through which will also teach you the fundamentals of the video game.

Earlier in July, Crytek’s action hunting title, Hunt: Showdown, received a content update. At the time, update 2.1 added several new weapons, spectator mode, new fog weather and more.
This time around the developer is focusing more on adding more graphical settings for players to mingle around with, improve loading times, perform several GPU and CPU optimizations, as well as adding three new weapons. In addition to that, the update brings some matchmaking changes, allowing for more rank brackets to get matched together. Here are the patch notes, as well as a description of each of the three new weapons.

Extended graphics settings – Users can now access a broader range of additional options that can customize performance based on available hardware.
Loading time improvements – Optimized the time to get into matches on both client and server (Potential saving of 20-30 seconds).
Resolution scaling – Players can now scale the game rendering independently for their desired resolution which can significantly improve GPU performance when users are GPU bound.
GPU optimizations – Re-balanced low spec configuration and reduced GPU cost across the board.
CPU optimizations – Mainthread will be more stable and generally more efficient thanks to a collection of smaller improvements in game code and systems.
Matchmaking changes – Added an additional matchmaking bracket. Current brackets are now set to ranks 1 to 33 (with overflow to 50), ranks 34 to 66 (with overflow to 80), and ranks 67 to max rank (including prestige).
Solo Missions – Solo missions will now be single target missions (1 Boss).
New weapons

Nagant M1895 Officer Carbine – A modified version of the Nagant M1895 Officer pistol with a long barrel and a stock.
Specter 1882 Compact – A modified version of the Specter 1882 Shotgun with a foregrip and a sawn-off barrel. Wider spread, but shorter range.
Crossbow Shotbolt – A hand-crafted crossbow that mixes the characteristics traits of a shotgun with those of a crossbow, utilizing bolts tipped with shotgun shells that detonate on impact setting off a cone of shotgun pellets.

Let us know how noticeable are all of the new performance optimization and loading time improvements.

You’ll get a new Treasure Map and Collectible Challenge every week, and they’re always the most annoying ones to complete to earn all that cool new cosmetic stuff. Below, we’ll keep a running list of all the collectibles and treasure locations — where to look on each specific tile. The collectibles in particular are pretty easy to spot from very far away. Just glide over to the coordinates listed below, and you’ll usually have no problem spotting them.

Weekly Challenges Guide | Treasure & Collectible Locations

[Use this map to easily locate the map square coordinates described in the post below.]
If you purchase the Season 5 Battle Pass for Fortnite: Battle Royale, you’ll unlock weekly challenges you can complete to progress down the unlockables list — there are tons of new costumes, toys, and other cosmetics to unlock in Season 5, and if you want to get them all, you’re going to need to finish some of the weekly challenges.
The toughest weekly challenges involve two things — a treasure map, and collectible locations. Here, we’re going to cover where to find the collectibles and treasure for every week of Season 5. If you miss a week — don’t worry! As long as the season is still going, you can go back and replay challenges from previous weeks.
[NOTE: You don’t need to actually pick up the treasure map! You can just skip to the end goal and collect the Battle Star.]

Week 1 | Treasure & Collectibles Locations

Challenge: Risky Reels Treasure Map

Battle Star Location: South of Tomato Town. Land on the hill with the tunnel running through the center, then drop onto the landing above the northern tunnel entrance, facing Tomato Town. There’s a conspicuous patch of green grass here. Get close and the Battle Star will appear.

Map Coordinates: G4 [On the hill above the tunnel entrance.]

The lightning bolts float high above the sky. You’ll need to construct ramps and floor tiles to reach them. They can be seen from very far away — try dropping from the sky, and you should easily spot them above the map coordinates listed below.

Challenge: 7 Lightning Bolts

Bolt #1: H3 [High above the hill, west of Wailing Woods.]
Bolt #2: I3 [Above the trees, northeast of the Wailing Woods location.]
Bolt #3: H6 [Floating high above the center of Retail Row.]
Bolt #4: E4 [Above Loot Lake, easily visible from the pier.]
Bolt #5: B1 [Floats above the northwest corner of Junk Junction.]
Bolt #6: E7 [Southeast of Shifty Shafts, floating adjacent to the large bridge.]
Bolt #7: C7 [Right in the center of Greasy Grove.]

Week 2 | Treasure & Collectibles Locations

Challenge: Paradise Palms Treasure Map

Battle Star Location: To find the star, you need to look between an arch, a dinosaur, and an oasis. That means you need to head to the desert biome. Go down to the oasis in the southwest corner of the desert, and glide around the tall spires — look for an inverted stone rock on a high ledge. The battle star will appear near the weird rock.

Map Coordinates: H9 [On the tall spire, east of the unnamed oasis in the desert. Look for an inverted pyramid-shaped rock on a ledge.]

To score at seven different basketball hoop locations, you’ll need to equip the basketball throwing emote. When you arrive at the courts, throw a basketball and land in the hoop to earn your point. Here are all seven locations you need to find.

Challenge: 7 Basketball Hoops

Hoop #1: C7 [Northeast corner of Greasy Grove.]
Hoop #2: C5 [West of Tilted Towers, in the unnamed cluster of buildings.]
Hoop #3: A5 [Just above the ‘Snobby Shores’ title on the map, in a backyard.]
Hoop #4: B2 [Right in the “C” letter of ‘Junk Junction’ on the map. Inside the junkyard.]
Hoop #5: D5 [Northwest corner of Tilted Towers.]
Hoop #6: F8 [On the unnamed hill with buildings, southwest of Salty Springs.
Hoop #7: I8 [On the eastern side of Paradise Palms.]

Week 3 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge: Flush Factory Treasure Map

Battle Star Location: The map is located in Flush Factory, but you don’t need to pick it up. You only need to go to the Battle Star location. The treasure is pretty easy to find if you find the map — notice that big hill southeast of Salty Springs? There’s a house up there, and the Battle Star is near the road. Look in the brown area.

Map Coordinates: F8 [Southwest of Salty Springs, there’s a large hill with a house and road on it. The battle star is out front of the house, near the bend in the road.]

To complete the Week 3 challenge, you need to shoot clay pigeons that are scattered all around the map. Activate the clay pigeon launcher then shoot the pigeon that flies out. Like every collectible challenge, you don’t need to shoot all six in the same round — each one you shoot will be counted, so you can spread your collectibles hunt across six rounds and still complete this challenge.

Challenge: 6 Clay Pigeons

Pigeon #1: I10 [In the small trailer area south of Paradise Palms, on the southern edge of the desert biome, near the river.]
Pigeon #2: D8 [Find the ruined house south of Shifty Shafts, west from the unnamed building area.]
Pigeon #3: B4 [Just behind the large hill to the west of Pleasant Park.]
Pigeon #4: E4 [On the northeast shore of Loot Lake.]
Pigeon #5: G3 [East of Lazy Links, near the covered bridge, on the opposite side of the stream.]
Pigeon #6: J4 [North of Lonely Lodge, in the clearing outside the trees, southeast of a hill that’s shaped like a boot.]

Week 4 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge: ‘Between a Gas Station, Soccer Pitch & Stunt Mountain’ Treasure

Battle Star Location: Behind the gas station, located west of Loot Lake and south of Pleasant Park. Follow the road to the single gas station on the road, then run to the area behind it —  large grassy field.

Map Coordinates: C4 [It’s right next to a white tree with yellow leaves, behind the Gas Station in square D4.]

The week 4 collectible challenge is all about flaming rings. You can’t just find them, you need to drive a cart straight through them. There are five flaming rings to find — make sure you grab an ATK from the golf course or desert biome before hitting these stunts.

Challenge: 5 Rings of Fire

Hoop #1: H9 [Find the ramp near the bridge. Follow the road south of Paradise Palms.]
Hoop #2: H7 [The ramp is located south of the broken bridge, in the canyonon-like area west of Paradise Palms.]
Hoop #3: J8 [Fly over the edge of the island, east of Paradise Palms to spot the ramp on the cliffs.]
Hoop #4: E3 [Southwest of Lazy Links — on a gentle hill. Follow the winding road south of Lazy Links, and you’ll find the ramp to your right as you enter square E3.]
Hoop #5: E3 [At the bottom of the pickaxe-shaped hole in square E3, west of Lazy Links.]

Week 5 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge: ‘Snobby Shores Map’ Treasure

Battle Star Location: Haunted Hills – As usual, you don’t need to actually find the map in Snobby Shores to get the hidden Battle Star. Just travel to the location — it’s found in the northwest corner of Haunted Hills. It’s found on the pointed roof of the church.

Map Coordinates: B2 [You can reach this Battle Star from the sky. Just land on the top of the church in the northwest corner of Haunted Hills, and look near the spike.]

For the Week 5 challenge, you’ll need the golf club toy emote so you can actually hit balls into the nine golf greens. You don’t need to get a hole-in-hole, you just need to land the ball on the green. After teeing off, you can even kick the ball onto the green and it will still count. You only have to complete 5 holes.

Challenge: 9 Golf Greens

Hole #1: F2 [To the right of the Lazy Links club house. Hit from the tee off area and into the green.]
Hole #2: Instead of listing the golf green locations, you can easily find them for yourself. After teeing off and landing on the green, just follow the signs. The second hole starts right next to the first green.
Hole #3-9: The same goes for the next hole, and the next. If the hole doesn’t begin right next to the previous green, just follow the dirt path to reach it. It helps to have an ATK so you can easily traverse the entire golf course.

Week 6 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge: Search Where The Stone Heads Are Looking

Battle Star Location: Salty Springs – On a small hill, just southwest of Salty Springs. It’s the closest small hill to Salty Springs, so you can’t miss it.

Map Coordinates: F7 [The only hill with cliffs on this grid square. It’s near Salty Springs. Land on it from above to grab it quickly.]

For the Week 6 Challenge, you need to find 5 Time Trials and complete them. There are more than 5 Time Trials on the map, but you only need to complete five. A time trial is a small blue circle you can interact with — starting it will begin a countdown timer and make more waypoints appear. You’ll need to grab them all before the countdown completes. You may need to build ramps to reach some of the waypoints.

Challenge: 5 Time Trials

Trial #1: E7 [Found on a river between Shifty Shafts and Salty Springs. On the grid square, travel up to the northern edge to find it on the river bank.]
Trial #2: H9 [Reach the stream in the desert biome, located southeast of Fatal Fields. From the pond, travel east up the stream to find the time trial.]
Trial #3: H6 [In the southeast corner of Retail Row.]
Trial #4: A5 [Right on the southeastern exterior edge of Snobby Shores. You’ll need an ATK to complete this one.]
Trial #5: G3 [On another river, east of Lazy Links. Go to the bridge east of the golf course, then travel down the stream slightly south to find it.]
Trial #6: C2 [Smack in the center of C2, an empty field north of Pleasant Park.]

Week 7 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge: Treasure Map In Dusty Divot

Battle Star Location: Dusty Divot – In a small outcropping of trees, just northwest of Dusty Divot. They’re the trees near the road to Loot Lake, right behind a big statue head with a stone mustache.

Map Coordinates: F4 [Just off the road to Loot Lake on the square. Look for a stone head with a mustache to easily spot it.]

For this weekly collectible challenge, all you need to do is find randomly generated chests. No special collectibles at all. The challenge sends you to named areas where you’ll need to locate and open a chest. These chests appear in different places every single time, so go searching in the rooftops of buildings, in attics, or anywhere to find them.

Challenge: 5 Stages & Chest Locations

Stage #1: C3 [Pleasant Park]
Stage #2: H6 [Retail Row]
Stage #3: F10 [Lucky Landing]
Stage #4: C7 [Greasy Grove]
Stage #5: I8 [Paradise Palms]

Week 8 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge: Search Between 3 Oversized Seats

Battle Star Location: Found on the hill north of Flush Factory, between the three trees at the top of the hill that are easily visible on the map. The hill is in the center of three small urban areas with giant toilets. Those are the “seats”!

Map Coordinates: F4 [Just on the hill as described above. Look between the three trees.]

To complete the collectibles challenge, you need to travel to enter rifts. There are plenty of rifts that spawn (semi) randomly all over the map. So check the following locations.

Week 9 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge: Follow the Shifting Shafts Treasure Map

Battle Star Location: The Battle Star is located on a mountain south of Dusty Divot and north of Salty Springs. There are three flat platforms with trees. Search on the platform with the middle-height tree.

Map Coordinates: F6 [Right on the mountain in the center of this square.]

For this week’s collectible challenge, you’ll need to visit Easter Island Head statues — you know, those big stone heads. We’ve dealt with them in previous challenges this Season. All you have to do is visit the Stone Head. There are seven total on the map, and they’re easy to spot from the sky.

Challenge: 7 Stone Head Locations

Stone Head #1: C2 [Junk Junction – In the grove to the southeast.]
Stone Head #2: C6 [Greasy Grove – North, in the center of a stone circle.]
Stone Head #3: E7 [Shift Shafts – On a big mound east of the big bridge.]
Stone Head #4: E10 [Lucky Landing – On another mound southwest of the bridge.]
Stone Head #5: F5 [Dusty Divots – Southwest of the warehouse district.]
Stone Head #6: G3 [Tomato Temple – Just north, in the grove.]
Stone Head #7: I5 [Lonely Lodge – On a hill to the west.]

The Stone Heads all point to a bonus Battle Star. You can find the Battle Star on a hill, southwest of Salty Springs on the F7 square.

Week 10 | Treasure and Collectibles Locations

Challenge:

Battle Star Location: Only the final clue really matters — go to Lazy Links and travel to the east exterior. There’s a small shack by the 9th Hole. The Battle Star will appear there.

Map Coordinates: G2 [Next to the shack outside the 9th Hole Green.]

This week, you’ll need to locate 7 out of 10 jigsaw puzzle pieces. The pieces are always located in basements of certain structures — we’re going to list all the structures you need to check out on the map to complete the run. Always find the stairs and look in the basement for the blue puzzle piece.

Challenge: 7 Puzzle Piece Locations

Puzzle Piece #1: C7 [Greasy Grove – In the Durr Burger basement.]
Puzzle Piece #2: C8 [Greasy Grove – South of Greasy Grove, find a small house on a hill near the edge of the island.]
Puzzle Piece #3: A5 [Snobby Shores – In the house, in the southwest corner of Snobby Shores.]
Puzzle Piece #4: A6 [Snobby Shores – Travel south of Snobby Shores. There’s a single house compound on a bright patch of grass with the next piece.]
Puzzle Piece #5: D7 [Shifty Shafts – In the building outside of Shifty Shades, in the northwest corner of square D7. Find in the lighter-colored house with the green screen in the basement.]
Puzzle Piece #6: F7 [Salty Springs – In the white house, on the western edge of Salty Springs.]
Puzzle Piece #7: I2 [Risky Reels – East of Risky Reels, there’s a pair of houses. Look in the cellar of the green-ish house.]

The Stone Heads all point to a bonus Battle Star. You can find the Battle Star on a hill, southwest of Salty Springs on the F7 square.
[Work-in-Progress: Check back next week for new challenge locations!]

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning originally released back in 2012, and it received an overall positive reception from critics and fans alike. Time has passed, and several massively successful RPGs released since then. However, THQ Nordic announced earlier this week they acquired the game’s intellectual property.
Since then, rumours emerged regarding a possible remaster of the 2012 title or even a new instalment is coming to current generation consoles. A THQ Nordic representative clarified the situation is much more complex than fans think. They indeed own the game’s intellectual property, however, EA still has the publishing rights. The representative refused to comment on the relationship between EA and 38 Studios.
EA still has the publishing rights to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. About any other details about the relationship between EA and 38 Studios we can’t comment.
At this stage, we ‘only’ acquired the intellectual property. Given our track record, we know what the burning questions (remaster, remake, port to current-gen systems etc.) are, but we decided do not answer those specifically as we tend to put our heads together first and then do our homework, and only start to talk about anything once we feel confident and very familiar with the franchise.
How excited will you get for another Kingdoms of Amalur instalment?
